FAQ
How do I book a session?
You can reach out via my contact form, email, or social media. Once we choose a date, I’ll send over a contract. I do not charge a deposit.
How far in advance should I book?
I recommend booking 4–8 weeks in advance to secure your preferred date, especially during busy seasons (spring and fall). Newborn sessions should be booked during pregnancy, ideally in the second or early third trimester.
When will we get our photos?
Your will receive an online gallery link with all your photos within about 3 weeks (sometimes less depending on the season. *Events might require longer editing time. You can download your photos from the gallery but also share them, choose your favorites, and order prints!
How many pictures will we receive?
You will receive the allotted digital amount per the session you selected. Additional images can be purchased for $3/image or the entire gallery can be purchased for $1/image above the allotted image amount in your package. Prints sold separately.
What if it rains or someone gets sick?
I totally understand—life happens! I offer flexible rescheduling due to weather or illness. Just give me as much notice as possible, and we’ll find a new date that works.
Will I help you with posing?
100% yes! My sessions are relaxed, fun, and full of movement. I’ll guide you every step of the way so nothing feels stiff or forced. Most clients tell me afterward, “That was way easier than I expected!”
Do you photograph weddings?
I currently take on a limited number of intimate weddings and elopements. Please reach out for availability and pricing.
How much are travel fees?
Travel is included within 10 miles of my local zip. Locations beyond that may incur a mileage fee of $.63/mile and, if applicable, lodging for overnight travel.
What should we wear?
I can't stress how important it is for you to be comfortable during your photo shoot! Here's some helpful tips...Choose 2–3 main colors and build everyone’s outfits around those tones.
Avoid everyone wearing the exact same outfit (like all white shirts and jeans); instead, aim for complementary colors and styles.
Think in terms of color palettes (e.g., soft neutrals, earthy tones, jewel tones). Tiny prints like tight stripes, polka dots, or plaids can cause distortion (called moiré) in photos.
Opt for solids, large florals, or subtle patterns instead and use different textures, fabrics and layers. Don't forget a hair brush, mirror, makeup for touchups, etc.
